How the

Ashley created a folder with his name and then inside that folder he created 3 more. One called Home the next called Work an the last called Study.Then he set up the system to perform a back up procedure. He did this by going onto the security settings and then going on backup and restore and clicking on back up settings. He then set up scheduling for disk clean ups. This was done by by using the task scheduler. He then set up archiving. Then he showed how to run a defragmentation. He did this by clicking on start, then all programs, then accessories. He then chose system tools and then selected disk derangementer. He then showed how to delete temporary files. This was done by going on the start menu and then opening CMD program. He then went to the TEMP folder by using %TEMP% where he could delete files. Ashley then put new paper in the printer and then replaced the broken mouse

For P6, learners must configure some basic system settings, such as
left and right mouse buttons, powersaving options, screen resolution, desktop
theme, font size, default language setting, default folder locations etc.

A standalone computer was set up in an IT room. Ashley showed how to change the icon size and the font size. He did this by opening the control panel and going on the settings tab. Then he went on DPI setting and and then clicked the dpi setting he wanted to use. He then changed the background by going on the display properties mneu fro the control panel. Then going to the tab called appearance and selected the red colour scheme.
